North Adams is a small town in Western Massachusetts in an area known as the Berkshires.

Traveling by Plane

The closest airport to North Adams is ALB in Albany, New York then a 50 minute drive.

Logan Airport (BOS) in Boston, MA is a larger airport than Albany, NY and is a 3 hour drive from North Adams.

Traveling by Train

Pittsfield, MA has an Amtrak station 35 minutes drive from North Adams.

Albany, NY has an Amtrak station 50 minute drive from North Adams.

We do not have any discount room blocks at any hotel. The bride and groom are staying at Porches but all the hotels listed below are great options. Additionally, lodging in Williamstown is a 10 minute drive from North Adams and there are many AirBnBs and Vrbos available in the area.

Things to Do in North Adams

MASS MoCA – The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA) is a museum in a converted Arnold Print Works factory building complex located in North Adams, Massachusetts. It is one of the largest centers for contemporary visual art and performing arts in the United States. We definitely recommend spending a few hours here.

Hiking – there are many beautiful walks and hikes near North Adams. Cascase Falls is a short hike 5 minute drive from Downtown. Mount Greylock has many hikes including a beautiful view of the Berkshires from the peak. See Porches Website for a list of nearby hikes.

The Clark – The Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, commonly referred to as the Clark, is an art museum and research institution located in Williamstown, Massachusetts (10 minutes drive from North Adams). Its collection consists of European and American paintings, sculpture, prints, drawings, photographs, and decorative arts from the fourteenth to the early twentieth century.
